![]() Something we’ve always had half implemented is meteor showers that provide rare resources at a random location, this is a no brainer and is proven to work. We made entire biomes no builds, this made it a running simulator. We added nobuilds, but this didn’t solve the problem. We’ve always had points of contest in Hurtworld maps, and have struggled for ages to make them a fair engagement and stop people just building next to them and taking no risk. Next I will be moving on to PVP, thinking about all elements from the ground up and hopefully refining some issues with the equipment system animations, recoil and weapon balance. I’m hoping to fix bugged creatures today (something that’s been on my list since 2015, just haven’t gotten around to it). ![]() I’ve spent the first half of this week sick, now am moving on to some much needed bug fixes. We will still be doing our best to push out a wipe update every 2 weeks, we will however be trying to do things a little more free form. Since the game is getting contant updates it became hard to make a full updated interactive map, maybe some day I am going to make a map for v2 if the game becames stable (without new updates on items, spawns and map). I’ve been taking some much needed down time, disconnected from the world in a remote forest doing some real world survival, and am now recharged and ready for the next phase of Hurtworld. You can check all creatures and resource locations by toggling them on the left panel, also clicking on the upper arrow will hide that panel.Īfter the feedbacks I received that the website was slow on mobile devices I priorized improving the code to make it faster. What made it slow was that the markers were loaded all at once, and hidden by default, and once the user toggle they appeared on the map. Hurtworld is a hardcore multiplayer survival FPS with a focus on deep survival progression that doesnt become trivial once you establish some basic needs. ![]() Now, all the markers stay on a file, and are only loaded if the user click the marker icon. That feeling when youre freezing to death trying to make a fire, or youre defenceless being chased by creatures. These experiences are what make a survival game. The sidebar had an improvement too, receiving a slot for each type of marker.Īlso the locations markers were moved to the items category.
